Nakheel's second palm island, started in 2002, stalled after 2008 and relaunched with a new master plan in May 2023. Nakheel describes seven islands and 16 fronds with about 120 km of coastline and plans for 80-plus hotels. It is still under construction, with the first villa handovers scheduled from late 2026.
